ANALYSIS OF MACHINE AVAILABILITY AT SURFACE-MOUNT TECHNOLOGY (SMT) LINE USING WITNESS SIMULATION

In the competition to excel in Industrial 4.0 race, companies especially Semiconductor Industry, strive attain efficiency by removing process bottlenecks, improving productivity and increasing machine availability during operation. As so, this research was conducted analyze machine’s based on various preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling. A model developed WITNESS 14 Manufacturing Performance Edition software imitate Surface-mount Technology (SMT) line a manufacturing system. The build serial layout of five machines which are screen printer, glue dispenser, chip shooter, pick place reflow oven. Then, simulation run study each with relation different stoppages intervals duration selected PM schedule. findings project show that for an SMT should be carried out every week 30 minutes achieve high minimal downtime.
